Newborn photography sessions can be quite an adventure, especially when there are older siblings! I had the pleasure of capturing a candid in home newborn photography session in Marin County, at this session the older sibling was having a tough time. He really wanted his mom’s attention, and she was understandably exhausted. But with a little creativity and patience, we managed to turn this challenging situation into a beautiful family session!

As anyone with multiple children knows, sometimes the older sibling just needs a bit more attention! During the session, Dad took charge and played with him, both indoors and outdoors. This not only helped the older sibling feel included but also allowed us to capture some heartwarming moments with the entire family! Sometimes, newborn shoots with older siblings naturally evolve into family sessions, and that’s perfectly FINE! It’s all about capturing the genuine interactions and relationships within the family. And creating memories together.
In the end, we were able to get beautiful photos of everyone, capturing the essence of this lovely family.
