What a joy it was to capture the sweet baby Leo in his home during a newborn session! Newborn sessions aren’t just for the tiniest of babies, they’re also great for bigger babies too, even up to three months old! Leo was a perfect example of this. He was alert and engaged, making for some truly adorable photos! I always encourage my clients to do newborn sessions so they can look back at these memories for many years to come! But that doesn’t mean that if your baby is a little bit older you can’t do a newborn session!!
Beautiful Candid In-Home Newborn Session
Before I arrived for our session, Leo’s parents did an amazing job preparing. They fed Leo, which is always a good idea. A full baby is a happy baby, and happy babies make for smooth photo sessions! They also tidied up the spaces in the house we were going to use. A clean and clutter-free environment is not only safer for the baby, but it also makes the photos look better! One thing to always keep in mind with newborn sessions is that they might take a little longer than you expect. And that’s okay! It’s important to remember that we’re on baby time now! If we need to stop to feed or tend to the baby’s needs, we do it! There’s no rush. The most important thing is that the baby is comfortable and happy.
Baby Leo’s session was a wonderful reminder of all the things that make in-home newborn sessions so special. The comfort of being in your own environment, the ease of having everything you need for your baby at your fingertips, and the ability to truly capture those first precious days of life in a meaningful way. In-home newborn sessions are truly something special. It’s a way for you to freeze these memories and cherish them for many years to come!
